Hey guys!

I had mentioned in How to Fly With a Baby Like a Boss that I wanted to share more about where we stayed on our beach vacation so here it is! Details regarding the resort and plenty of pictures of Evelyn in her bikini. Enjoy!

If you haven’t heard, I’m a planner (read Plan to Plan: Make 2018 Your Year). We planned this late August trip in March! It was easy though, because we had already visited this place before. Aaron and I went on our honeymoon to Panama City Beach, Florida in 2015 and we had so much fun! While we were there I told him I wanted to come back when we had kids. I had no idea it would be so soon, but hey, we had a great time again! I wanted Evelyn to visit the beach for her first time somewhere other than a Texas beach. They’re just not the best… Sorry, Texas. I love you and all but your beach game stinks. Literally.

We chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Resort we had stayed at on our honeymoon because we knew we liked the resort and what it had to offer. It’s a very family friendly place and the staff is so sweet! Everyone really goes out of their way to make sure you have the best time.

The resort has 14 floors and each room has a balcony that looks out over the ocean. From your balcony you can also see the huge resort pool (which is beautiful and surrounded by palm trees) and the fenced in splash pad for small children. I wish Evelyn had been just a little bit older so she could have enjoyed the splash pad more independently this time but she still had a blast.

There’s also a large hot tub outside, a pool table, and a leisure pool for the people who don’t want to be splashed by the kids. The resort is right on the beach so you can literally walk there in 2 minutes. They have cabanas on the beach that you can rent for the day and lounge chairs with umbrellas. There’s also a spa on the resort where you can get various treatments done. I got a massage on our honeymoon, and again, highly recommend it.

The resort buffet is so good. I’m pretty sure we ate our daily caloric intake at breakfast each day of our honeymoon. I seriously recommend getting the breakfast package if you choose to visit this location! We had breakfast there every morning on both trips and it never disappointed. Plus, kids eat free!

They have different entertainment options that they book each evening at the resort as well. We went to see an illusionist one night, but they also had fire dancing and a singing act. All of these are free to attend when you have your resort wrist band on. Also, each night they show a family movie on the pool deck. They turn all the lounge chairs to face a huge outdoor screen and serve free popcorn. Evelyn’s early bedtime kept us from enjoying this aspect but it was too cute to see all the little sun-drained kiddos in their pajamas watching Finding Nemo!

The beach is kept so clean! If you look out at the right time in the morning you can see them raking the sand for the new day. I have not been to a more beautiful beach. If your main motivation is to swim and play in the sand, this is the perfect place.

Our room was clean both times we visited. You can certainly pay less elsewhere, but it’s worth it to me to have a clean hotel and pay a little more. It’s not overpriced either. We thought it was a fair price for everything they offer while you’re there. Rates change all the time, so I won’t mention what we locked in at, but when we arrived, they moved us to a higher floor (better view) just because they could!

I think it’s also worth mentioning that we are IHG Members. You don’t have to become an IHG Member to book with an IHG hotel, but you do get better rates and access to promotions. Sometimes they put specific cities on a discounted rate or have specials for you to book early and get a great deal! We don’t travel that much yet, but when we do, we don’t mind saving if we can.

If you want to become an InterContinental Hotels Group member, I’ll include a link below. It doesn’t cost anything to sign up, so it was a no-brainer for us. Just click “book now” on the banner below and then you can become a member when you click “join” at the top right of the screen it brings you to.

Whether you’re vacationing with kids or going on your honeymoon, we highly recommend this Holiday In Resort at Panama City Beach, Florida. I think its safe to say we’ll go back again.

Thanks for reading and here are the promised bikini pictures!
